Battlefield 2042: Players Think That Maps Are Too Big – Gaming INTEL

The larger maps in Battlefield 2042 intended to accommodate 128 players might be too big.

Battlefield 2042 will be officially out on November 19, 2021. But Battlefield 2042 maps have sparked lengthy discussions on Reddit even before the final release.

The early access gameplay is providing a glimpse of the game ahead of its launch.

The larger maps haven’t really gone down well with many of the Battlefield fans. Moreover, the lack of voice chat, campaign, and the scoreboard has aroused disappointed murmurs. In fact, many fans want the classic Battlefield scoreboard back.

To hold 128 players, the maps have to be larger and more accomodating. But many Battlefield fans think that the devs have put together these vast maps at the last moment.

Battlefield 2042 Players Have Issues With New Maps

Everyone thought that 2x the players on the battlefield would mean 2x the fun. But apparently, this doesn’t seem to be the case.

Several players have dubbed the larger maps to be “too big and lifeless”. The vastness is accompanied by distant combats, rapid sprinting, and weaker weapons. You’ll definitely want to level up your weapons faster and unlock attachments.

The vehicle spawns aren’t easily accessible. So basically you’re running amok on vast lands. Players also pointed out the lack of adequate covers. You’re very likely to die from an aerial invasion. For that matter, here is every vehicle confirmed for Battlefield 2042.

The Manifest map seems to be a favorite with fans. However, many players said that the map was loaded with too many shipping crates.

The indestructible environment is another issue. The warehouses, crates, skyscrapers, shipping containers, concrete barriers, are indestructible which seems to have irked many.

Lastly, the maps just don’t look authentic enough. The clean city setting of the map just doesn’t go with the apocalyptic theme of the game. The cities hardly seem destroyed.

Overall, Battlefield fans seem to be calling for some covers, destructible objects, and some dystopia in the maps. Players seem to like Kaleidoscope and Discarded.

Right now, there’s a major issue stopping Battlefield 2042 fans from enjoying matches.

And a large number of players are actually requesting refunds after Battlefield 2042’s broken launch!
