Several Xbox 360 games recieve updates ahead of Xbox Anniversary event – Video Games Chronicle

Several Xbox 360 games, including many Bethesda titles, have received updates ahead of the upcoming Xbox 20th Anniversary live stream.

Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fable anniversary, Dead Space, Dead Space 3, Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age 2 and Fable 3 have all received updates, the content of which is unknown.

The upcoming event is being promoted as a look back at the past of Xbox, with many speculating that this could lead to improved backward compatibility for the titles.

The upcoming stream will air on November 15, 2021, exactly 20 years after the launch of the original Xbox. It will start at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 5pm GMT.

Halo Inifnite – Campaign overview

“We invite you to join us on Nov. 15 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Xbox and Halo with a fun, digital broadcast for fans around the globe,” the company said on Tuesday.

“While we won’t announce any new games, this anniversary broadcast will be a special look back at 20 years of Xbox. We’ll share more details soon, so stay tuned.”

Microsoft could be planning a surprise early release for Halo Infinite’s free-to-play multiplayer mode.

That’s according to date references found in the source code for the game’s official store page. Twitter user Adam Fairclough discovered on Friday that the page contained multiple uses of the date November 15, 2021 and the time 18:00.

These dates are used with the reference ‘PreOrderReleaseDate’.

This roughly matches the time when Microsoft is set to hold a special 20th anniversary Xbox live stream. Microsoft has previously said it won’t announce any games during Monday’s event, but urged fans to tune in.

Shortly after the website date was published, Microsoft seemingly updated Halo Infinite’s store page to change it to the game’s release date of December 8.
