Whenever a classic game is remastered, remade, or just re-released, we often see an onslaught of side-by-side comparison videos displaying the original version alongside the newer version.
While we’re sure there are already side-by-sides of how Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition looks on Switch next to the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC versions, our friends at Push Square have received a tip about a video showing off the fan-made port of Vice City for PlayStation Vita up against Rockstar’s GTA Trilogy on the Switch.
Push Square’s editor Sammy Barker notes how there are “clear performance advantages” present in the remaster, but still thinks the art style is perhaps better preserved on the PS Vita – with colours and lighting that’s arguably vastly superior. Character models, textures and resolution has also been improved, but the PS Vita version still holds up quite well.
See for yourself in the video below and tell us your own thoughts about this side-by-side comparison in the comments.
